Alerts
TradingView alerts let you be notified when an indicator exposes a supported event.
Recommended workflow
1. Configure the indicator first.
2. Confirm that the event you want is visible/eligible on the chart.
3. Create the TradingView alert using the corresponding OutsiderEdge alert condition.
4. Test the alert before relying on it operationally.
Important distinctions
Alert = notification that a configured event occurred.
Signal = the indicator’s qualifying analytical/trade event.
Execution = placing/managing an actual order.
These are not the same thing.
If an indicator includes third-party automation formatting, treat it as an integration layer. Verify symbol mapping, volume/risk settings and broker/automation behavior separately before using it live.
