Experience Modes

Several OutsiderEdge indicators use Experience to control visual complexity.

The important distinction is simple:

> Experience is a visual preset. It is not a Strategy Preset.

Where the indicator says Experience is visual-only, changing it does not change the underlying strategy calculations.

Clean

Shows the smallest amount of information. Use it when you already understand the indicator and mainly want chart labels and supported trade visuals.

Simple

Shows the essential analytical structure without most secondary overlays. Good for learning the basic output without a crowded chart.

Advanced

Adds more structural context such as value-area, profile or channel information depending on the indicator. Advanced is the recommended starting point for most users who want to learn what the indicator is doing.

Professional

Enables the richest visual view. Depending on the indicator this can include extra labels, trend waves, CVD, deep-dive information or additional context panels.

Use Professional when you know which information you are reading. More information is not automatically better information.

Custom

Lets you control the supported visual modules individually.

Use Custom after you know which layers you want to keep. If you are still learning the indicator, Advanced is usually easier to troubleshoot.

Common mistake

Changing from Simple to Professional and then seeing more information does not mean the market context changed. The indicator is showing more of the information it already calculates.
