Trade Mode

Trade Mode is available on several OutsiderEdge indicators. It changes how qualifying indicator events are presented as a trade plan.

Off

Shows the indicator’s native analytical labels or markers.

Use Off when you want to study the underlying indicator without SL/TP trade-plan graphics.

Preset

Uses the selected Strategy Preset where a valid preset is active and displays the supported B/S entry and preset risk/reward visualization.

Use Preset only on the intended preset market/timeframe.

Custom

Keeps the supported signal source but allows the user to configure the exposed stop and reward settings.

Custom changes the trade-plan assumptions. It does not magically improve the underlying signal.

Reading the visuals

- B = Buy-side entry
- S = Sell-side entry
- Entry = signal entry reference; where applicable this is based on a confirmed signal candle
- SL = stop-loss level
- TP = take-profit level

Historical fills show what happened to the retained trade plan. The live backtest/statistics panel should be treated as historical diagnostic information.

Trade Mode is not a promise of automated execution or profitability. Always understand the indicator context first.
